This 2016 Willamette pinot is a 3-vineyard blend (or “M.V.P.” Multi-Vineyard Pinot)
50% from an east-facing Dundee Hills site (777 & 115 clones) this element is the bright, red fruit such as cherry, pomegranate and cranberry
40% Dundee Hills Old-Vine (Pommard clone) this is the source of the floral tones such as roses, lilacs and violets
10% Amity Hills (777 & 828 clones) this is the part with the smoky, complex flavors that might remind you of cola or rootbeer…
In our opinion that blend provides the treble, mid-range and bass of the blend. We age our Pinot Noir in French Oak for 10 months, usually 20% new barrels, depending on vintage and wine.
Our tasting notes read: Flavors of cherry, cocoa and plums with sexy aromas of red flowers and spice
